Getting Started w/ Stratta

How do I start the tiling process?

We want to make the process easy for you & we’re excited to help!

Step 1: Gather Inspiration

Look through magazines and sites like Houzz and Pinterest and click on our vendor links from our home page showcasing a few of our exclusive lines.

Collect photos of tiles and designs you like – even if the color or the application are not quite right. It will help us get a feel for what look you are trying to achieve. Bring your file of collected photos & we will begin the process! Or Feel free to click “Email me” and start sending us your inspiration photos. Inspiration is not limited to just tiles feel free to include lighting, artwork, accessories etc. that catch your eye!

Life is Art & Art is what you can get away with

Step 2: Determine your Budget

Ready to get the ball rolling …

In most cases your general contractor and/or builder may provide a working budget for tile. If so, please bring those numbers to your first appointment at Stratta. If that is not the case for your project please let us know a ball park amount you will allocate towards tiles for your home so we can steer you in the right direction. Tiles can range greatly in price so think about which areas you would like to allocate more funds towards than others. With our vast array of products we carry we are able to meet any and all of your budget needs.

Step 3: Gather your measurements/tile quantities

When Selecting from our beautiful wares at our showroom knowing the tile count needed is key.

IF your architect or contractor has provided blueprints or scaled drawings, please prepare to bring those in. If not, please measure your space(s) so we have a rough idea of the dimensions we are working with. Selecting space appropriate material is a paramount part of the design process.  Knowing the room dimensions allows our designers to determine what the best material size and shape will be. This also helps us provide you with a price quote based on the quantities needed.

Extras: Bring your samples & swatches to the showroom

Bring us in some goodies you have already selected

If you’ve made color choices for your project that you would like to incorporate into the tile design, bring us samples & swatches so that we can help you coordinate the entire look. Having that small piece of fabric or some other color element with you will assist us in bringing your dream to fruition. If you have selected countertops especially for kitchens please bring them as well. Your kitchen cabinet color and countertop plays a major role in selecting a kitchen backsplash/floor for example.
